Maria Ranieri. PhD in Telematics and Information Society, is an Associate Professor of Educational Methods and Technology. Since 2001 she has been working in the field of educational technology, technology-enhanced learning and media literacy education. Her main research areas include theory and methodology relating to media and technology in education, as well as work around teachers’ practices and students' learning. Among other things, she investigating the interplay between mobile learning and social networking in formal and informal contexts of learning. On these topics she has published several books and articles, and coordinated European and national projects. Maria is also vice-president of the Italian Association of Media Education, and co-editor of the Journal Media Education: Research, Studies and Good Practices.
